Last night I went bowling with Molly, her room mate Melissa and her boyfriend Kevin. Both are upstanding people and I really have a liking for them. We played two games, the first being everybody vs. everybody. Needless to say the first seven frames I was stinking up the place. I had like a 59 after those seven frames and was coming in dead last way behind the rest of them. I however ended with an attitude and put down three strikes (TURKEY!) and pulled off the greatest bowling comeback that anyone has seen in days. heh. I ended up winning in professional fashion. I still however have lost to Molly four times, so I still need to win a few more games to balance it out. She is one of the first coordinated girls I have dated and I must say it’s very attractive…

New iPods came out today as well and I am in desperate need of replacing the one that was stolen out of my truck. I am sick of using my phone every time I get in the truck. Especially if someone calls me, because then I have to unplug from the stereo so I can actually talk on it. Instead of just being able to turn it down a bit which is really cramping my style. So in the wish list is the new 64 GB touch that is a pretty penny coming in at a nice 399. ouch. I better save for a couple weeks before making that purchase.  So assholes, and bitches that it for now. Go check google for ” Tuesday Too Much of Today” or search YouTube for it. It’s a great tune.

On the personal front things are going pretty well and I am currently seeing a girl that I am for the first time in over a year very stoked on all the way around and can actually see myself seeking a relationship out of. Things are looking up. On the downside of things though I had to drop all my classes because of work which I am not thrilled about. Orite I would say that is a solid enough update assholes.

It seems work has recently been taking over my life, and its becoming a bit annoying. Everyone is taking vacations and I have to figure out ways to cover their shifts and it screws my days off and doesn’t allow me to do the shit I would like to go do. Also these 4 am shifts are not for me, and having to work more than once a week sucks. I like staying up late and waking up when the sun is already up and half the day is pretty much gone. Not getting off with half the day left simply because I am not productive at those hours of the day.

Camping finally happened this weekend, and it was a solid two nights instead of one which is so much better. We usually only make it up for one night and it just seems like way too much work for that short of a trip. It was only Scott, Josh, and myself on this excursion though as everyone seemed to be doing something better and not wanting to go along. Whatever it was a relaxing time at any rate and Desa also learned how to swim, and got her first experience riding in the bed of the truck instead of in the cab. She also today picked up catching the frisbee which is fucking awesome.

Onto the great news of the summer though. I finally got my hands on the NEW RX BANDITS ALBUM MANDALA. This record is Rx Bandits and pushes in similar directions that And The Battle Begun did, however this is more of a trippy Mars Volta feeling to these songs. Especially within the song structures as they move along and have several different parts that in many instances almost seem out of place. But that has been the direction that they have been heading in the last two albums, and this one masters that for sure. All though the horns were never that prominent in the last couple records the vibe they gave is missing and I almost find myself humming along at parts where I feel the horns would play softly and beautifully over a nice small breakdown of  a song. Now Steve Choi’s keyboard work which is phenomenal by all means definitely is being utilized much more on this record and does a fantastic job of filling that vibe. However I am a horn fanatic so them not being present is somewhat weird to me. The guitar work is straight up RXB and before Matt Embree even hits the microphone the guitar screams to any avid RXB listener that they are in for a treat. Weird time signatures and clean noodling jumping into that signature distortion fills the speakers on every track. This album is very good and I’ve only listened through it 4 times. I am sure that just like with the last two records I will grow in absolute awe of it and never get sick of it anytime I hear it being played.

Anyways on to my real life babble, I was recently under investigation at work by the peeps down at the main office for “creating a abusive work environment”. So basically I had this lady who was very unhappy that I scheduled her five days in a row because she was older and said she couldn’t handle it. My boss however said that she needed a doctors note explaining why. Well this fueled this lady into a rage and she went to corporate and said all sorts of things some made up and some taken out of context. See I like to joke back and forth with certain employees about punching them in their faces when they are joking with me. So this lady said I used it in threatening manners to get people to do things, which was not the case. Anyways I got a final warning write up which means If I get into something of the same nature again I will automatically loose my job. Literally a week later this lady quit because she also filed an OJI (On The Job Injury) which means the company pays the bill and you get to have restrictions so you don’t have to do anything that the doctor says you are unable to. So we made her a greeter like they have at Wal-Mart and a couple weeks of this pissed her off enough to quit. THANK GOD! Luckily for me my boss had my back and I didn’t get fired because even though I was only kidding when I used that phrase it is a no tolerance policy and usually ends in termination.

Last Saturday Scott and I went downtown via our bicycles. We pre-gamed with whiskey and continued to quench our thirst with more once we got downtown. Long story made short we were literally too drunk to ride our bikes home but we made the trek anyways. Scott hit a curb going full speed and flipped over the front of his handle bars and chipped his collar bone. So we had to walk the bikes the rest of the way home since he blew out his front tire. Ultimately we made it all the way to our street and I jumped on my bike and was riding in circles waiting for him to catch up and somehow fell and dislocated my right thumb. Shit was nasty and I was forced to call my ex-girlfriend who HATES my existence to come and take me to the E.R. Thankfully she did so maybe she doesn’t really hate my existence. However it came with a price as she was very vocal about how I was such an asshole. Weird how I’m the asshole even though she cheated on me four times and a fifth time with one of my friends. Yet I’m still the asshole for not giving her my condolences when her dog died. Heh…

Check out the new Darkest Hour record its as metal as it gets. The new Mars Volta lacks a bit so I don’t have much to really say about it. New RXB coming out soon! Get stoked assholes.

I think that it would be nice to let the bridges collapse and carry on in a new nameless place. One where I can’t be found… This standing up straight and taking this in all the time is growing old. I’d much rather be all hands and knees, and then non of it would matter.

Love is not a cure, its not an addiction, its an instinct. One that we attach ourselves to with the people we think we trust, count on, and believe in. I’m just not in the mood anymore. But it’s not worth loosing sleep over… And yes I over analyze even the simplest of things… But I won’t be dragged down this time.

I never thought you could pick some of the worst company to call your friends and lovers. But in less then 21 years I have found and picked my fair share. And my heart still pounds in a very large way, but I will keep that thud to myself now.  I will stick to these rolls were all just trying to play in a world of nauseam.

The bar scene has been a large part of my life also… Not that I am constantly out getting myself hammered and making ridiculous decisions every other night but  I have been going out a lot and trying to socialize however it usually ends up to Scott, Taylor and I and whatever other dude comes out with us sitting in a corner drinking and just talking about how hot a group of girls may be or how life is shit. Not really the most exciting night life, but were in good company and I can say I enjoy it thoroughly.

Lastly we found a new roommate on craigslist and she moved in about one whole solid month ago. So far so good… She is pretty ridiculous, but only ridiculous in a I like to get hammered and make a lot of questionable decisions that my roommates may judge me for but I don’t give a fuck, and I must say I respect it… Anyways, go out and get yourself some of the swine flu or whatever is going around in your neighborhoods. Ohhh! And while I wrote this I had listened half way through the new NOFX album Coaster! I was hesitant to pick this album up but it is sounding like it actually may be my favorite NOFX album.

Lot has happened since my last post, I think my last post concerned the election and how awesome that day was and that was really all. Damn, I have a lot of catching up to do, and just not enough time or the memory to talk about it all. So let’s start a very vague and swift run down of the shit that has happened that I can recall. So starting with the election night, my ex girlfriend stayed in my bed that night and random feelings were expressed. She snuck out really early like sun rising early to go to her current boyfriends house whom she had told she would be over after the election results were announced. She would tell him that she got smashed and passed out on my couch. About two weeks later I ventured out to C.B. and Potts with Taylor (my red headed roommate). Here I met this girl with platinum blond and pink hair. Very punk rock looking… I don’t really have much else to say on this except that were still hanging out a regular basis. 

In December I transferred stores and was able to start work at a store in Fort Collins! Stoked because this was an end to the 4 am shifts that I was continuously working and the start to 10:30 in the am shifts. A very much welcomed changed as I have since been able to live a much more 21 year old lifestyle! In the two months that have passed I made a very good impression I guess because I was as of last week promoted to Bakery Manager. This was welcomed as well, because now I am only about five years away from being a assistant store manager! Did you know that an assistant store manager for King Soopers makes 80,000 dollars a year and up. Or that a Store Manager makes over 100K a year with about 20 to 40 thousand dollars in added bonuses!

School has started again as well, I am taking one online class at front range this semester. I am already a couple weeks behind since I couldn’t afford to purchase my book for it till today! Hopefully this class goes smoothly. Anyways life has been hectic lately and I know I am stressed out a little bit. Hopefully things start to calm down.

Today, I also received a phone call from my store manager Dan asking me to take a promotion as a Bakery Manager at a Longmont store. I told him I needed to think about it and would chat with him tomorrow to let him know my decision. It will seriously make my drive which is already about 40 miles round trip 64 miles round trip and to me it is totally not worth it. The pay increase is nowhere near enough to make that long journey each day. Plus starting as a manager in a new department is going to be a struggle in itself as I will have a long road ahead of me to get it running smoothly. Don’t know if I want that stress these days.

I am really hoping to kick this bug I have come down with asap, as being sick turns me into the biggest pussy. Especially since now I don’t have a long term girlfriend to baby my ass to get through it. 

Anyways bitches, go vote! The polls will be open from 7am-7pm so get to it if you have not already put in your ballot. As old as this election is getting, it is a very important one and I will be very disappointed to be stuck with the McCain/Palin ticket for the next four years.

So the morning after Halloween I had to be to work at 4 in the fucking am, so sleep really wasn’t an option as I wanted to go out and have a solid time. So after being awake for what seemed like days, I went to work only to discover two people had called in for the day making my job that much harder. See the department I work in has inventories that we have to take every two months and you guessed it this month was the two month mark. So we usually come in at 3 the Sunday morning of the weekend we are scheduled for it, and bust it out and head home by 11:30. Well since I had to stay and my boss had to come in and close up shop we were forced to do it at 9 o clock. So I worked from 4am to 1pm, went home slept till 7pm, woke up, showered and headed back to work. Pretty rough and making for a horrible sleep pattern. The good news was I was able to bust ass and get off by 2:30am, but because of the time change it was 1:30am so I gained an hour. 

Of course I have some energy and call up Scott to see if maybe he was at a party and he answers with what sounds to be a party crowd in the background. However that party crowd was actually at my house, and as I arrived home, I found out it consisted of girls some cute some not so cute, all rolling, and of Scott and Taylor hammered beyond belief. Pretty stoked on the situation I quickly took some shots, made about 3 white Russians and enjoyed the company of some people I really did not know.
