Too Much of Today.
So this past week I have been hooked on this old Tuesday song and the lyrics fit perfectly for my feelings on a current situation. It’s really one lyric in particular that has me smiling each time I hear the song because it is straight up where my head is at. Judge this as you will for I know if I was my friend and read that last little bit I would be laughing my ass of thinking of all sorts of shit to say to myself. Anyways the lyric I am caught up on simply bumps along a nice 3 or 4 semi punk rock chord progression as Mr. Adriano who is now of Alkaline Trio fame belts out “It’s 4 a.m. but I’m not sleeping, my mind keeps running back to you. Do I keep you up too?” It is probably one the most simple lyrics this dude has ever spit out and for whatever reason it dances off my tongue while I carry along with it the biggest grin imaginable.
Last night I went bowling with Molly, her room mate Melissa and her boyfriend Kevin. Both are upstanding people and I really have a liking for them. We played two games, the first being everybody vs. everybody. Needless to say the first seven frames I was stinking up the place. I had like a 59 after those seven frames and was coming in dead last way behind the rest of them. I however ended with an attitude and put down three strikes (TURKEY!) and pulled off the greatest bowling comeback that anyone has seen in days. heh. I ended up winning in professional fashion. I still however have lost to Molly four times, so I still need to win a few more games to balance it out. She is one of the first coordinated girls I have dated and I must say it’s very attractive…
New iPods came out today as well and I am in desperate need of replacing the one that was stolen out of my truck. I am sick of using my phone every time I get in the truck. Especially if someone calls me, because then I have to unplug from the stereo so I can actually talk on it. Instead of just being able to turn it down a bit which is really cramping my style. So in the wish list is the new 64 GB touch that is a pretty penny coming in at a nice 399. ouch. I better save for a couple weeks before making that purchase.
